Ruthfred Reflections: October 18, 2023 From the Director of Youth Ministry Over the weekend the SWAP Students had their annual retreat to Seneca Hills Bible camp. We enjoyed a nice weekend of fellowship and time learning what it means to be ambassadors for Christ in a fallen world. The SALT Leaders led sessions discussing how they are ambassadors for Christ in their own lives and how that has been shown in their stories up to this point. The SWAP students received the lessons very well and gained a lot of information from students not so far out of their stage of life. It is a great opportunity to empower our high school leaders as well as to develop lessons closely related to what the students are experiencing in life right now. Following that, we had lots of opportunities for free time and games together--moments students always enjoy. As I look back on the weekend there was a lot to be thankful for. We had the privilege of staying at a great facility, learning about the Lord, eating great food, and spending the weekend with great people. For that, I am thankful.
