Dear Congregational Family,

1. Fall Season: “The Fall Season can be the most effective time to invite people to your church!” I recently read an article about this which inspired me to have a renewed appreciate for the “fall season” ministry opportunities. The facts are that most people move during the summer, and in the fall, those who are so inclined, are looking for a church. Also, the fall season has become like New Years for many, as it is a chance to start fresh and to make new choices and to seek out things that bring health into one’s life. It has now been shown, that people who start attending a church in the fall, are far more likely to continue within the church, than those who first come for a Christmas or Easter service! So, look around, do you have new neighbors who you could invite to church with you this fall? Perhaps you have friends or family members who are looking to make new starts in their life. Invite them to come with you to church and have a new beginning this fall!

2. Fall Opportunities: Children’s Sunday School has fall kick-off this Sunday! Confirmation starts next Wednesday. The following Wednesday (11th), Children’s choir, Kid’s Time, Senior choir, Journey Through The Word (morning and evening – please register ASAP!) are all starting as well! Please step out and connect in one of these ministries and grow in your faith and enjoy fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ!

3. Adult Sunday School: This week I will be finishing the current series by identifying and discussing together how the architecture, symbols, windows, and liturgy are shaped by our theology and inform our worship. All are welcome! The following two weeks will be devoted to Q & A and to the sharing of ideas, desires, and dreams that you might have for our congregation and expressly in regards to calling a second pastor.

4. Sermon text: For this Holy Communion Sunday, our sermon text is Luke 14:7-24.
The title is: “Come to the Feast!”

God bless you as we continue,
“Growing Together in our Faith as the Family of God”
