Dear Congregational Family,

1. Congregational Meeting: This past Sunday we held our annual congregational meeting after both services and presented the 2021 Church Budget for congregational approval. This budget was diligently put together over the past many months by our treasurer and our finance committee. They did a tremendous job on it and it was unanimously approved at the meeting. A few “takeaways” from the meeting:

a. We are a very blessed congregation! As we look back over this past year, we see how God has wonderfully blessed us through the generosity of our dear members! We are thankful! May the Lord bless you as you continue to give of your time, talent, and treasures to the Lord and the work of His church!

b. There was a question about a vicar for this next year. At this point we are not anticipating having one. Not only has the supply of available vicars significantly decreased, but we also sense that we need to focus a bit more closely at home in our congregation and local communities at this time. There is a thought of perhaps helping another church with a vicar (perhaps in our region), or focusing on other options that might more readily meet some of our ministry outreach goals here at this time.

c. Benevolence budgeted giving was again increased for next year.

d. In all this is a “faith budget” as it will stretch us a bit, however, we are confident that God will provide as we move forward in ministry, even while living in a culture that is moving backwards spiritually! God is at work! Let us join Him!

2. This coming Sunday is “Christ the King” Sunday! Praise the Lord that during this chaotic time in our nation (and world), Jesus is on the throne as King of kings, Lord of lords, and Judge of all the earth!

3. Sermon: Title: “The Son is THE King!”
Text: Psalm 2

God bless you as we continue,

“Growing Together in our Faith as the Family of God!”
