Dear Congregational Family,

1. “Lutherans for Life”: Ruthfred has been part of this ministry for a number of years and we are so thankful for its solid Biblical commitment to life in all aspects. “Lutherans for Life” support and celebrate all life from preborn all the way through to end of life issues at the time of natural death. Today in our world, life is increasingly vulnerable at all stages, and the value of life is often tied to productivity rather than given its proper sacredness which comes simply from the position of being created in the image of God.

Lutherans for Life” has never had a Regional Conference in Pittsburgh before, but one is being held next month, and we are hosting it!!!
a. Theme: “From Invisible to Indispensable.”
b. Date: Sept. 26
c. Time: 9:00am – 3:00pm.
d. Registration: please go online at: lutheransforlife.org/conference
e. Cost: $50.00 (We are working on a 50% discount for Ruthfred members!)

2. Fall Schedule:
We are prayerfully and carefully starting many of our Fall Ministries. Next week our Confirmation class will begin. Morning JTTW will also begin, along with our Senior, Bell and Children’s Choirs. On Sept. 13th, Sunday school will resume for our children. Adult S. S. will continue. We have plenty of space and will be able to do all of this in a safe and comfortable way. KidsTime and Evening JTTW will wait to resume until Oct. 7th.

3. VBS donations to Samaritans Purse have now reached $2,346.50. I believe this is far beyond any previous amount given to the VBS mission project! Thank you, and praise the Lord for the generosity of His people!! Through this mission, many people will be given goats and chickens in order to raise food for their families. At the same time, they will be fed the spiritual food of God’s Word as Scripture is shared with them through the ministry of Samaritans Purse.

4. “Souper September”: Cans of soup will be collected throughout the month of September for the food pantry in memory of Pastor Dennis who loved soup! You may drop them off at the kitchen counter in the Fellowship Hall.

5. Sermon: Title: “Sin Acknowledged, Sin Forgiven.” Text: Psalm 32:1-7
(Holy Communion will be offered at the chancel rail at all services: 8:30am, 11:00am, and 6:00pm)

God bless you as we continue,

“Growing Together in our Faith as the Family of God”
