Studies begin in a large group format for a brief time of teaching, and then members divide into their small groups for further discussion.

Evening Journey Through the Word (JTTW) is a Bible Study held on Wednesday evenings from 6:45 – 8:00 p.m. which begins mid-to-late fall and concludes before Ash Wednesday each year. Studies have covered a variety of Bible books and topics. We begin each study in a large group format for a time of teaching and song, and depending on participation may divide into small groups for further discussion. Beginning in 2022 the church will be offering Forkless Dinners to registered JTTW families Wednesday evenings from 6:00-6:30 p.m.

Men’s Prayer Group
Each Friday morning at 7:00 a.m. men are invited to gather in the Fireplace Lounge for a time of fellowship, brief devotions and prayer for one another.
Adult Bible classes are held year round on Sundays from 9:45-10:40 a.m.. We study a wide variety of topics and Bible books. These studies take place in the large classroom behind our sanctuary, and on our top floor in the “Upper Room.” Topics covered are highlighted each week in the announcements section of our bulletin.
Growing in Faith Together meets on the 4th Sunday of the month at 6:30 p.m., providing an opportunity for Bible Study, prayer and fellowship for those in the “middle” age bracket. Group members select the study material and take turns leading and hosting the group. Insights are shared in a friendly atmosphere with no expectations regarding prior study preparation. Other activities have included picnics and a get-together with other Ruthfred’s other small groups.
Young adult couples and singles comprise small groups which meet at homes and have Bible or book studies. If you are interested in hosting, joining, or have questions, please contact the church office at 412-835-7140.
